We feel the need of interacting, expressing what is going throughout our minds, denouncing what we don’t want to accept, rising questions. We turn our rage, dread, inconformity and a bit of hope into noise with all our will.
We’ve played since 1989 and experienced many things, known lots of people and places that mean a lot to our lives. We’ve also passed for bad situations that have significance and importance.
Playing and living became synonyms.
Playing and living in this chaotic reality, patriarchal, sexist, homophobic, capitalist, racist that also leads to nationalism and xenophobia, oppressing and stating rules. We express our refusal to these rules.
We don’t want to silence ourselves or make “music” to accommodated ears.
We know we are just a group, but we add to other ones and it strengthens the fight.
Aware that playing is a way  that contributes, but there are other necessary expressions and actions.
The struggle is a daily act.
Noise is vital.

No Rest has not been playing for 2 years now. last time we played was here in Porto Alegre, after the tour through the country side. Then Santi went back to Germany and Lasse to Finland. It's hard just saying No Rest no longer exists, since it took part of our lives for so long...2 years seem to be almost nothing compared to the 21... We haven't decided to quit, things were just happening as they ever did...No rest was always an extension of our life projects, playing, creating, writing, expressing, making artwork for covers and posters and so on, traveling, experiencing, denouncing...That makes weird the fact we haven't been playing together. That we are living apart... that might also change...
As we were waiting for another time...without sure...but it's a fact that we are not playing together. So, we think it's better to open it and to face this moment.

The 4 of us are still playing, in other bands,because it's still essential.
